I'm interested in a makeover, how do we get started?

In most cases the first step is a short initial consultation between the arranger and the homeowner. The arranger gathers information as to the current use of space as well as the homeowners ideas, concerns and desires for the redecorating outcome. A preliminary tour of the home allows the arranger to do a quick inventory of any items that may be integrated into the makeover.

What should I expect the day of the makeover?

On the scheduled day of the transformation the arranger arrives to the home with her staff. The homeowner has the "day off" and the makeover begins when the client leaves. Every item in the room is then temporarily removed, leaving a clean palette. This allows the arranger to study the size, shape and architecture of the room. The home is then "shopped" for accessories, furniture, art and lighting. The contents of the room are then returned in a specific order (layer) giving careful thought to focal point, scale, and weight, lighting, colors and comfort. The end result is an interesting space that meets the design needs of the homeowner, celebrating their unique style... without purchasing anything new!

The first step to selling a home is getting it visually ready to market. The goal is to prepare the house and property in a way that has broad appeal and creates an instant reaction and curb appeal. Furniture placement and arrangement is one of the key ingredients to a successful preparation, also referred to as "staging". There are many valuable benefits to staging real estate. Also available - personal shopping on a budget. Once your makeover is complete there may be just a few items that are desired to enhance the space. Maybe an area rug or a framed piece of art is all that is needed to complete the look. We are happy to assist you in finding just the right item.

How much does the service cost?

Rearrange charges by the hour. The hourly rate is $95 per hour. The average one day room makeover takes from 3 to 6 hours.
